WHAT COMES FIRST, THE CHICKEN OR THE STEAK?

If you asked the average person on the street whether chicken or beef is healthier, most people would guess that chicken is probably healthier...

For all you health nuts out there, however, there is a debate about what is healthier, chicken or beef.

Some of us think that chickens run around a farm pecking their feed, clucking and crowing, but unfortunately the vast majority of chickens we eat come from large-scale indoor operations. It’s difficult to find pastured, humanely raised, organic chickens to eat, unless you live on a farm or have access to local, outdoor farm-raised chickens. And I know you have heard and had to practice the art of washing your hands and sterilizing everything after cutting and preparing chicken.
Now, I enjoy a good steak every Saturday night as a reward for putting up with the World of political news all week. Listening to POTUS lie every day is hard to take on the stomach so I have soups or salads as a rule.

Come Saturday nights, I turn the news off and have a steak and then feel guilty for doing so, knowing full well that the so-called experts say I shouldn’t have red meat. They also say I shouldn’t have a beer which I do anyway.

Then I read where it is now debatable whether or not the chicken is better. The pros are changing the rules once again!

Remember when coffee was not good for you? Then one day it became suddenly good! Remember when cocktails were a no-no? Then a drink or two was suddenly good for the system. Wine was on the fence once, then they started to look at Europeans such as the Portuguese, French, Italians, and Spaniards and suddenly they realized none of them were becoming extinct.

And diets, what is it with these fads that come out of the blue by some doctor that puts some quasi-logical medical argument together so he can name a diet after himself?
I’m not chicken to favor beef.
