Dear Mom, TLW (The
Little Woman), Claire, Theresa, Frances, Mary Ann, Joanne, Maureen and Angela,
and Sara, and to all their daughters who have born children, I wish
you all a special day filled with love, happiness and sweet memories.
To all those mothers
out there who I know, both as relatives and friends, know that as a mother, you
are connected to what is considered pure and good, you are the basis of what
good there is in the world.
To those of you who
have lost a child in the past, remember that we are all on loan to this world,
God may decide the most special come home first. Some of you may be estranged
from your children, remember that they owe it to you, you are the mother, you
gave them life.
Moms are an
incredible lot, they defend their child in time of danger with ferocity, and in
times of peace with love and serenity, coupled with truths truths that
make us all human.
I am thankful I
still have my mother after all these years. Many of you don’t, but you do have
wonderful memories and you should re-kindle them, bring them back and when you
do, you will bring back your Mom for a brief moment of happiness. Don’t dwell
on the loss, but dwell on the gifts she gave you, the love you have in your
heart came from somewhere, and from someone, your parents. Mom was the mason
that set all those stones in place that make up her children’s being… you!
The best gift to
give a mom is the gift of remembrance. Be she past or still on this mortal
earth, it is all she really would want.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY,
MOM, ELLEN AND ALL THE MOMS THAT WERE AND ARE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, WILL BE.
