COVIDMAN REFLEXIONS

John Heilemann
Jon Meacham
As I sit here in my easy chair, things that I never considered before have come to light. The ordinary time of American life is now focused on the TV or the Internet and when I combine them, you get a blog.

Recently, we ran out of our favorite tea bags. The teabags were suggested to TLW (The Little Woman) and I from my grandkids nanny, Cricket. A wonderful woman, who comes from the old sod and NYC, Cricket knows her tea and where to get it. I must say, she is right about it all!

When we were out in Burbank a few years ago she made us all tea and we truly enjoyed it, so, TLW asked what the brand was, and Cricket was kind enough to give a bunch to take home with us and an address on the Internet as to where to purchase it. It has been a while as we have adopted it as our own and recommend it to you all to try.

Well, last week we ran out of teabags and resorted to the old standbys either Lipton or Salada, and quite frankly, it tasted below our high standards. We were desperate for tea and rushed to the computer and order some more PG Tea, a great tea.

Tea and coffee along with wine and Jack Daniels have become the beverages of choice as we view the TV and the talking heads of MSNBC, CNN, and of course the, ‘Make America Irate Again’ FOX News. On MSNBC all the talking heads are now televising from their homes, and each person offers up their point of view from a room in their house. These rooms have added a new dimension to their broadcasts. One individual, I believe his name is John Heilemann, reported from his kitchen and in the background stood on his counter, fruit, and one in particular, a pineapple. This has caught on and now you see others with pineapple or two in their background.

Aside from their dietary preferences, the rooms they report from has drawn the interest of both TLW and myself to the point that we had a discussion yesterday morning about the room that presidential historian Jon Meacham was reporting from. There was what looked like a set of French doors and a dresser with a mirror hanging over it with two large or tall lamps sitting on each side of the mirror. I’m arguing that it is a bedroom and she is arguing it is the front of Mr. Meacham’s house. My lawyer may be contacting her lawyer first thing this morning.
